My name is Jay Stieler. I have lived on the Central Coast for most of my life. The unspoiled beauty of the area has always been what most inspires me to paint.

I find painting with watercolors especially challenging and rewarding. The demanding timing and unpredictable nature of this medium is a constant source of wonder, but most exciting to me are the unplanned results that contribue to each pieces unique end.

All framed works on display here are original paintings and not prints. I embraced the challenges encountered in their creation, and I hope they manage to inspire viewers in some meaningful way.
