DECEMBER Reception Night & 2nd Friday Art Walk

Recent News & Updates
DECEMBER RECEPTION NIGHT.. ART WALK  FRIDAY.. & SANTA CRAWL
The weather for tonight’s reception was perfect!  And it was our last reception night of 2017‼️ We’ve had such a good year for all of our shows and Featured Artists despite the road closures and fires!  What a year!
And “Changing Tides” has received huge exposure and highlighted in New Times (see link below)
https://www.newtimesslo.com/sanluisobispo/opening-reception-for-changing-tides/Event?oid=3744406 and in local newspapers and online platforms the whole month.
We handed out the SANTA HATS tonight so that all of our artists had one and the winery who was supposed to be pouring wine tonight never showed up! So Terri Bayus, who’s in charge of the Santa Crawl, carried a case of wine up to our Gallery and our own artists poured the wine!!!  Thank you Gregory McIntosh and Neal Swanberg and Don Doubledee!!!
And OMG! we had loads of people coming into the Gallery..both rooms were packed with first time buyers and locals who had never climbed the stairs to visit us.
We had lots of sales tonight!  And many of our artists did their Christmas shopping at the Gallery!!  I hope that more of us will do that as well!  Thank you Dottie and Hope for being such great supporters of all of us!!
REFRESHMENTS

Our food tables were full of finger foods and treats thanks to the participating show artists and everything was delicious!!  We even set up a water jug for those non drinking folks coming to the Gallery

Alan B. Cohen is attracted to contrasts of new and Alan B. Cohen is attracted to contrasts of new and old, created and found, weathered to highly finished. His sculptural art fabrications begin with items he finds washed up on west coast beaches. These objects generally speak to him about a direction or suggest an idea. He transforms his sculptures by adding old fishing tackle, rusted wire, tools, brushes, and other recycled objects to create birds, underwater creatures, masks and abstract pieces. Some pieces are simple and elegant, while others are whimsical and fantastical. #bigsur #travelcalifornia #art #alancohen pn
