Mary Summers, PhD, RN, has a love of nature and has always enjoyed spending time outdoors. She has shared the wonder of nature’s offerings with her husband, outdoor photographer Kerry Drager, for more than a quarter of a century. Kerry has taught her the importance of capturing scenes in “beautiful light”: early morning and late in the day. He has also taught her the elements of a good design as he shared his views through his camera lens.
A retired professor of nursing, she now resides full time on the Central California Coast — until recently in Cambria and now in Morro Bay. Her philosophy is to “follow the brush” to capture the rich colors and textures of the landscapes around her in oils.
