My name is Claudia Haidet and I am just starting my career in the digital arts. I am Romanian-born, California raised. When I was born, Romania was rebuilding after many years under communist dictator, Ceausescu, and my birth mother was financially unable to take care of me.
My American family adopted me at the age of two. My father was an artist and craftsman. He excelled at the fine arts of woodworking, sculptures, furniture-making, and various mixed medias. With his help, I learned that consistency and resilience are necessary to become a successful self-taught artist. I grew up studying, training, and instructing in competitive dance. This developed my creative eye where angles, motion, and design became prominent in my work.
In May of 2018, I graduated from California State University, Chico where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I was motivated to continue my education, therefore I completed my Master’s program one year later. In June of 2019, I got my Master’s in Business Administration from Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo.
Throughout my photography experience, I have found great interest in the craft and patience it takes to pursue fine art photography. The motion of my photography instills the great depths and high points of the vast ocean. In the future I plan on continuing to learn, grow, and develop my photography efforts. Eventually, I plan on writing my own memoir. I hope you all feel as alive experiencing my photography as I felt taking these shots.
